The Cars of Mighty Car Mods – Hardcover Book

Also something to note around Mighty Car Mods: we are normal guys and are not trained mechanics. We like to make interesting car mods and show you how we’ve gone about it, but we can’t promise that anything we show you will work for your particular car, or that you won’t harm yourself, someone else, your car or your warranty doing it. Please be safe, be responsible and unless you know what you’re doing, do not fool around with very serious machinery just because you’ve seen us make it look so easy. Talk to a qualified mechanic if you are in any doubt.

  25. For everyone questioning the price of the book you need to consider a few things. Firstly, I'm going to hazard a guess and say that they got this printed in Australia. The cost of manufacturing/labour/production in Australia isn't cheap since we manage to have a livable minimum wage. Secondly, this is a hard-cover book so production costs increase again. Thirdly, the trim of the book is reasonably sizable as is the weight so they're using decent quality paper stock. Fourthly, it's glossy colour; again, costs more. Finally, shipping and storage – also, not cheap.

Of course, you need to factor in MCM's time in developing, editing, proofing etc. which as per their words, was their biggest project in 2017. Going to hazard a guess and say that they spent a considerable amount of time on this. For anyone questioning the price, do you think they shouldn't be rewarded for all the lost time they ultimately had producing this?

As someone with a bit of an idea of costs involved for publications produced in Australia, I can guarantee that MCM aren't making the margin you all think they are. The markup isn't actually that much when you factor in the overall cost to them. I think we should be celebrating their success, thanking them for producing some exceptional content, and supporting MCM *where we can*. The joys of the internet is everyone has an opinion, the sad part is most of them are wrong.

  26. Why is their a DMC in that book?
