Use code 'TST5' for $5 off at Petrolbox! http://www.mypetrolbox.com The new, 2018 Ford Raptor features a twin-turbo 3.5L V6 which shares its architecture with several other Ford cars from the Explorer to the Ford GT supercar. It seems Ford has left quite a bit of power on the table, because Hypercar Engineering of Charlotte, NC seems to have found an extra 125 Wheel Horsepower and 172 lb/ft of torque with an upgraded true dual 3" exhaust, all-aluminum intercooler, and an ECU tune. That is an excellent figure, and so Matt headed out to some California Fire Roads for a quick blast. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is one of the hottest sport sedans on the market right now, with a raucus, 505-HP twin-turbo V6, a taut, lightweight chassis, direct steering, and extroverted good looks. It's had some stumbles off the gate, mainly software related ones, but in this video, filmed in Northern California, we see if the driving experience outweighs the potential Italian car stereotypes. Alfa Romeo USA Provided the vehicle, insurance, and a tank of fuel for this review.
If you don't know the Regular Car Reviews, you need to. They do car reviews like no one else: insightful, weird, dirty, clever, (formerly) faceless. Matt sat down with the men behind the brilliance, who have just returned from a trip to New Zealand with the guys from Automation, similar to what TST did in 2015. https://www.youtube.com/user/RegularCars http://www.automationgame.com This episode is available in downloadable audio only format on iTunes, Google Play, wherever you get podcasts, or at the host site: http://shoutengine.com/TheSmokingTire/regular-car-reviews-54144 INSTAGRAM @thesmokingtire @regularcarreviews @nick.roman
This Porsche 911 began life as a 1975 Carrera with a naturally-aspirated 2.7L Flat-Six making 173HP. Now in its fourth powertrain iteration, it now runs a turbocharged, 3.2L Engine, built using only factory Porsche parts. While the car is cool on its face, it's really the story behind the car and its owner, Marco of TLG Auto in North Hollywood, CA, that really make it, especially the fact that it was formerly his mother's daily driver. Check out TLG Auto for service, repair, or restoration of vintage and modern Porsche sportscars. TLG Auto 13222 Raymer St. N. Hollywood, CA 91605 www.tlgauto.com
This 2012 Mustang GT features a Paxton Novi 2000 Centrifugal Supercharger mounted on a stock bottom end, good for over 500 wheel horsepower. It's got Whiteline swaybars, bushings, and lower control arms, and an upgraded driveshaft to keep it all in line, then it's mounted on good Hankook rubber. Now that the last-generation Mustangs have dropped in price, a package like this is a great way to get into a very fast car, for not that much money.
